Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport terminal evacuated

A terminal was evacuated after bomb-sniffing dogs discovered suspicious smells in two vending machines yesterday (13 July) at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, USA.
While a bomb squad investigated the machines about 200 travellers and employee were sent to a parking garage across the road from the terminal. It was not clear what the dogs had sens in the vending machines, although the terminal was reopen four hours later.
Pat Hogan, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, said that it could have been something as simple as someone who had residues of fireworks forward them touching the machines, reported The Associated Press
